Peter worked on the implementation of the business requirements and identifying gaps concerning the reporting obligations for the EU Taxonomy, Pillar 3, and CSRD. In addition, Peter has updated the Control Framework and the SFR source flows.

Peter was also part of the project focused on developing an automated SFR delivery process.

Peter participated in timely, accurate and complete financial reporting. Besides that, Peter was UAT Test coordinator for updating the financial reporting system Tagetik.

He also contributed to the conversion of the annual report, financial reports and accounting rules in Tagetik to comply with the new regulations regarding IFRS17.

Peter’s responsibility was coordinating and supervising the integration of the financial processes regarding reinsurance of the bought non-life parts of Movir and VIVAT.

Besides that, Peter has set up an operational reinsurance delivery process according to IFRS17 requirements of NN Group.

Peter contributes in this assigment to replace SAP BPC as IFRS reporting tool to Tagetik.

He wrote migration rules, carried out migration and regression tests and tested reports. The work also covered test documentation, reporting progress and documenting all test work and guiding the Country Units during UAT testing.

Peter’s responsibility was to build, document, test and manage a reporting tool and to create a new Solvency II reporting process.

Peter has set up a working Solvency II reporting framework and process that met the reporting requirements of AEGON Group and the regulators DNB/ ECB.

Peter co-operated in this assigment on the integration of the financial departments of ING Bank N.V. and participated in several parts of the Finance Transformation Programme.

Peter participated here in several projects. There were changes in external reporting as SE (Statistics Economics), SIFI (Institution-to-Institution), DRA (securities holding report), ILAAP (Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process), LCR/ NSFR (Liquidity Coverage Ratio, Net stable Funding Ratio) and FINREP (Financial Reporting Standard).

Peter contributed to the testing and bringing the several new regulatory reports into production (SE, SIFI, DRA, ILAAP, LCR/ NSFR and FINREP).

Besides the regular activities, which were to consolidate and to analyze the monthly/ quarterly financial reports, Peter has mainly focused on structural improvement of the reporting process. All financial reporting processes have been made visible with the use of an ITO (input-throughput-output) model. On this basis, several improvements have been applied.

Peter has brought more structure and standardization in the reporting process. He created a monthly/ quarterly planning and a consolidated analytical review of the RBI figures. In addition, various reports are described according to the ITO model (work processes and work instructions). Peter also developed a performance report to measure the timeliness and quality of delivery of the several entities.

Within this assignment Peter consolidated and analyzed monthly and quarterly financial reports. Setting up and updating the financial reports according to IFRS and maintaining financial processes to comply with SOX also belonged to his work. Furthermore, Peter has also contributed to several projects.

Peter has also consolidated and analyzed several DNB reports. Peter has paid much attention to redesigning reports and processes regarding the merging of the business lines. Finally, he guided administratively the transition process of the separation of ING Real Estate.

Peter was responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of two companies – fund administration and investment broker-dealership. He prepared and analyzed monthly and annual financial reports. Furthermore he has prepared annual reports and budget reports.

Peter was also responsible for finance related matters such as cost sharing, Compliance, Security and Manuals, and he was also involved in tax, legal and HRM issues. He led a small accounting team.

Finally, he has developed and maintained financial reports, procedures, rules and guidelines.

Peter was responsible for establishing and carrying out the project audit activities of IT projects within the various Lines of Business. The project control should be further optimized and standardized where possible.

He was also responsible for managing budgets of IT projects. Peter has made investment proposals to support project managers with setting up IT project proposals according to the Project Delivery Framework (PDF).

Within ABN AMRO Region NL there was within department Finance Projects a project called Claire-NL. The goal of this project was to set up a new General Ledger and a Local Data Warehouse and to restructure the financial business and the ICT architecture.

Peter worked for the department “Source Connection”. The goal of this department was to connect the first source system (sparen) to the new architecture.

He was also responsible for providing insight into current business processes and to determine the requirements. He also examined the information needs of the business and translated this into proposals. He translated these entry corridors into business rules.

Peter has worked on the department Control & Financial Reporting and was responsible for the consolidating and analyzing of financial month- en quarterly reporting for Board and Group and had a guiding and steering role in the financial reporting towards the several Business Lines.

Peter also has made plannings and presented workshops for the monthly and quarterly reports for the various business lines. Developing and updating financial reporting under IFRS and U.S. GAAP and checking accounting in accordance with a consistent IFRS and U.S. GAAP also belonged to his duties.

Other activities were: SOX, DNB reporting, participation in projects, ad hoc reporting and make presentations.

The department was responsible for consolidating and analyzing monthly and quarterly financial reports and the Forecast and the Budget Cycle for Management and Group. Reporting took place to the controller AEGON Netherlands, Management and AEGON N.V.

Cost control, budget and forecast fixing for the staff department were also his duties. Regarding these reports Peter had a supporting and guiding role in the direction to the various Business Units.

Making annual reports and supervision of a consistent quality of accounting and reports were also his responsibilities.

Furthermore, he provided financial-economic information towards both customer and organization. Peter was also responsible for monthly reporting and managing the general ledger (accounts).
